Mission
The National Board of Orthodontics, U.S. was formed
as an independent non-profit certifying body with a
two-fold mission. First, the Board will certify the
training, skills, and experience of orthodontic practitioners
and document advancement through levels of certification.
Second, the Board will provide a forum to remain current
in clinical advances and gain practical skills in the
profession. |

Certification
Certification is recognition of achievement in
academic knowledge and clinical skills. It also suggests
an expectation to enhance those achievements, and seek
to raise professional standards to higher levels. Periodic
recertification will ensure that the orthodontist has
a working knowledge of the current methods of treatment. |
